A Horse Trailer Built Around Your Horse. Not the Other Way Around.
A hard-to-load horse that walks on in one try. A horse that once hated trailers but now loads and unloads with ease. Those are real Double D owner stories.
Tell us about your horses, your tow vehicle, and the way you haul. We'll help you design the right trailer and provide a custom quote based on what you actually need.
Real Horses. Real Owners. Real Double D Trailers.

“It is intelligently made with horse safety as a priority. It is convenient and ergonomically friendly for horse and rider.”
Tell Us About Your Horses. We'll Take It From Here.
Give us a few details about your horses, tow vehicle, and how you haul. We'll use that information to help recommend the right setup and prepare your custom quote.
Tell us what you’re considering. A quote request doesn’t commit you to buying anything.
We’ll work through the layout, dimensions, tack setup, and options with you before production so you’re comfortable with the final spec.
We’ll help review the trailer and tow-vehicle numbers that matter so the two work together appropriately.
Safety Isn't an Option Package. It's Built Into the Trailer.

SafeTack®
Creates a wider, unobstructed loading opening by moving the tack area out of your horse’s path.
More space to enter and exit can mean a calmer, less intimidating loading experience.

SafeKick®
Adds protection to the lower interior walls where kicks and scrambling are most likely to happen.
Helps protect legs from hard interior surfaces during travel.

SafeBump®
Adds a protective, more forgiving surface above your horse.
Helps reduce the risk of injury if your horse suddenly raises or throws its head.

Z-Frame®
Creates a strong structural framework for the trailer body.
A strong, stable structure helps create a more secure environment around your horse while traveling.

Don't Take Our Word for It.

“I have used my new DD bumper pull trailer 3 times now. I love it. My horse loves it. It is intelligently made with horse safety as a priority. It is convenient and ergonomically friendly for horse and rider.”
“I stumbled upon Double D Trailer's website because I was researching safe trailers for my very anxious thoroughbred. … There was nothing else on the market that matches the quality, safety, & workmanship than double D. … My hard to load TB loaded on my 2 horse bumper pull reverse slant in 1 try! I would 1000% recommend this company to anyone and everyone.”
“Love, love, love my Double D Horse trailer! It is built extremely well with horse safety and comfort as number 1. Most of all, it is a very safe way to load and unload your horse. My horse hated trailers until I bought this one. Now he loads from the back and unloads out the side ramp. Piece of cake! It is safe for him and me.”

“i had a great experience working with double D on designing and building a multi-use gooseneck trailer. … i loved that i was talking directly with the trailer manufacturer, so nothing got lost in translation between the dealer and manufacturer. … the purchase document i signed had all the details we agreed upon over the months-long discussion, and double D delivered on every single item.”
“I ordered my trailer, sight unseen, from Brad at Double D 5 years ago. Their constant communication and pictures made me confident in what I was getting. … I had a $30,000 nervous dressage mare that was the reason for me buying this trailer. It was so airy and flowed so easily that the horses really took to it. … They are strong, spacious and comfortable for horses and their people. I’m hooked.”

Nearly 30 Years of Asking One Question:
“How can we make this safer for the horse?”
Brad founded Double D Trailers and has spent decades designing trailers around horse safety, owner usability, and the hauling problems people actually run into on the road. He also wrote The Honest-to-Goodness Truth About Horse Trailers for owners who want to understand what they're buying before anyone quotes them a price.

Contact us first and we’ll coordinate everything with the service center closest to you, including repair instructions, covered parts as needed, and authorized warranty payments.
Your Horse Isn't Standard. Why Should Your Trailer Be?
Size the stall around your horse so a large warmblood isn't asked to ride in dimensions designed for a smaller one. Start from one of three body styles, then set the details around your horses and your truck.

Bumper pull
One or two horses behind a properly equipped truck or SUV.

Gooseneck
More trailer length and room for tack or a dressing area.

Living quarters
For owners who stay overnight at shows or on the trail.
Your Trailer and Tow Vehicle Have to Work Together.
The largest advertised tow rating on a truck brochure is rarely the number that matters. When you request a quote, we'll go through our Trailer & Tow Vehicle Matching Checklist with you so the trailer you order is one your vehicle can actually pull loaded.
- Trailer & Tow Vehicle Matching Checklist
- 01Empty trailer weight
- 02Loaded weight with horses, tack, water
- 03Hitch and receiver limits
- 04Vehicle payload
- 05Tongue or pin weight
- 06Cab, bed, and axle configuration
Questions About Getting a Quote?
Pricing varies based on trailer style, dimensions, layout, and options. Tell us what you need and we’ll prepare pricing around your specific trailer.
No. A quote request simply tells us what you are looking for so we can help you figure out what makes sense.
A Double D trailer specialist reviews what you sent and follows up to talk through your horses, your tow vehicle, and the configurations that fit. From there you can ask questions, make changes, or take the information and think it over.
That is most of what the conversation is. We ask about height, width, temperament, loading behavior, how many horses you haul, and how far you travel, then recommend a configuration from there.
We’ll help you review loaded weight, hitch limits, payload, and tongue or pin weight. Your vehicle manufacturer’s ratings remain the final reference for your specific truck.
