2020 Double D Safetack Reverse 3 Horse Gooseneck with Dressing Room

If you are looking at Double D Trailers, you value safety and quality! (Note that if this exact trailer was ordered new today, it would cost approximately $70K).

With fewer than 1,500 horse hauling miles on it, this amazing 5-year-old Double D trailer was perfect for my needs when I had 3 horses to be hauled at a time. Sadly, my trailering needs have changed, and I am looking to replace it with something smaller.

I custom ordered it in the fall of 2019 and received it early in the spring of 2020. When working with Double D to customize the perfect trailer, safety and convenience were top priorities. This resulted in a trailer with rumber flooring, side and rear ramps (so that I never had to back my horses off), an interior camera to monitor my passengers, and a camera on the rear of the trailer. A hydraulic jack was also a must. As a note, I replaced the auxiliary battery less than a year ago. The floor in the dressing room has a rubber stall mat, rather than carpet – for easy cleaning, a gooseneck gate – to prevent stored items from sliding out, and a carpeted bulk head that includes a wall organizer grid panel. There is also an additional exterior tie ring and aluminum wheels.

My concerns about a black trailer becoming overheated were completely unfounded. The entire trailer is made of materials and venting that keep the horses cooler than traditional trailers. With the roof being higher than normal at 7’6” and a fan for each stall, air movement and ventilation are excellent. The front two stalls are 12” wider than standard, so they will comforably fit up to a 16.2H 1200lb Thoroughbred or similar.

A couple of minor issues include scuff marks on the lower panel in the middle stall (due to pawing), a couple of cold weather cracks on the inside rear panels (repaired), and some mild hay scuffing on the exterior rear panel.
