We will quickly discuss your problems or concerns. If it's something we can handle on the phone, we'll walk you through the solution and/or ship parts to you. If your trailer needs service, we will locate the closest service location that can handle the problem and contact them. If the problem is covered under warranty and the service is authorized, we will handle all warranty claims and payments. Most horse trailer dealers do not have the experience, the knowledge, and the wherewithal to have a trailer shipped from the factory direct to you. For most horse trailer dealers, standard operating procedure (SOP) is to have the horse trailers shipped to their lot, and then (hopefully) they inspect for things not working right, for things missing, sharp edges from bad welds, etc., and most importantly, to check axles, brakes, floor boards, frame and structure (manufacturers generally don't check wheel bearings and axles before they go out.)
With the advent of the Internet, a lot of dealers are thinking "wow, I can shoot some customer a good price because I can ship it right to them without having to fool with it, or service it."
This can't happen when you get your Double D Trailer. Since all Double D Trailers are built right here and are shipped long distance, straight from the factory, we have become professionals at shipping. We check out every specific aspect of the trailer, from one end of the trailer to the other. This includes all lighting, structure, bolts, axles, tire pressure, bearings, and the works. Then the inside is swept clean of all debris, wire scraps, stray bolts, etc. After that's completed, all options, and placement of your special requirements are checked to be as they should be, and installed in the right place. This insures that you get what you ordered, and that the trailer is safely ready to roll upon arrival.
Most horse trailer dealers are used to selling in their immediate area. So again, they do not understand, or are not set up to service you over long distances. And even if a dealer does have a repair center (many do not) they usually want you to come to them. And, as you well know, full service horse trailer dealers are almost never right down the street - sometimes not even in the same county.
At Double D Trailers, we have designed, tested and implemented a long distance service program that serves you better than most dealers. We have someone on-call, Monday through Friday, ready to solve all your service and warranty needs. A horse trailer is basically a box on wheels; all service can be done at your nearby body shop. If it is a living quarter problem, we work with RV centers directly to correct any trouble that may arise.
We work directly with you and/or the body shop/RV center on repairs and maintenance, shipping them parts, faxing and/or emailing them instructions. Our goal is to get your trailer back on the road fast. If it is a warranty problem, we will determine this quickly and we are glad to pay the shop directly or reimburse you for the bill immediately. Best of all, body shop/RV centers do this for a living (whereas trailer dealers often do it out of necessity) so body shops/RV centers tend to get things done professionally, and fast.

(8) Year Warranty on Structural frame (read below for details)
(2) year bumper to bumper, including living quarters
(1) year on parts made by others (such as tires, air conditioners)
Manufacturer warrants that its products will be free from defects in materials and or workmanship to the original purchaser for a period of up to (8) years from the date of manufacturing providing the conditions are met and satisfied. There may be an $100.00 deductible per claim.
Overview: This limited warranty also does not cover: Damage or loss caused, in whole or in part, by failure to check torque lug nuts properly. Damage or loss caused, in whole or in part, by accident or negligence or by the abuse, misapplication or misuse of the trailer or any of its component parts. Any transportation charge to or from factory or service center. Normal items due to wear. These items include, but are not limited to, bearings, brakes, brake lining, or attaching brake parts. Items which are not manufactured or constructed by Manufacturer. These items include, but are not limited to, assembled axles, coupler, jack assembly/landing gear, wheels, windows, latches, hinges, and tires. If these items are warranted by the original manufacturer or supplier thereof, and such warranty may be extended to the original purchaser, manufacturer will make such warranties available. Damage or loss caused in whole or in part by prolonged exposure to salt air, road salt, animal excretions, acid rain, industrial fallout, or acts of God or nature that are uncontrollable. Any consequential or incidental damages based upon breach of contract, negligence, strict liability in tort, or any other legal theory, incurred as a result of any defect, to include loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use of vehicle, or any other fees incurred by purchaser relating to any warranty claim.
THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY MADE IN LIEU OF ANY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS AND NO ONE IS AUTHORIZED TO MAKE ANY FURTHER OR ADDITIONAL WARRANTIES ON BEHALF OF Manufacturer.
