One of the top advantages of the SafeTack Reverse LQ trailer is its standard combination forward or reverse side load horse trailer layout. This means that your horses will have the option to load into either forward or rear-facing stalls for traveling.
More and more evidence is showing that horses travel more calmly and with less leg fatigue when they are in the rear-facing direction. Plus, our easy “walk-on/walk-off” layout has helped many horses overcome their loading anxiety.
It all starts with our patented SafeTack design…
Unlike conventional slant load horse trailers, the SafeTack Reverse 3-horse living quarters trailer offers a rear tack storage compartment that swings completely out like a second door. Once opened, there is a wide entryway for loading and unloading. Compared to the narrow doorway on a conventional slant load, this is much safer for both horse and human.
You have two options for loading on the SafeTack Reverse LQ trailer. You can load your horses from the side ramp and walk them back into rear-facing stalls. Then, unload them by walking off the rear of the trailer.

Or, if you prefer, load from the back of the trailer and position your horses in a forward facing stalls. The double-hinged dividers will easily allow you to offload your horses by walking forward off the side ramp. If you don't opt for a side door and ramp, many horses are able to turn fully around inside the trailer to walk off the rear ramp. In both instances, you will no longer need to back your horse.
This patented design is especially popular in the 3 horse gooseneck trailer configuration, but can be adjusted to work for two to six animals.

A trailer can be a palace on wheels but that doesn’t mean much unless you can rely on your horses’ safety while traveling. With this SafeTack Reverse LQ trailer, you won’t have any concerns in this regard.
We already mentioned the SafeTack storage compartment in the rear corner of the trailer. This fully enclosed and lockable space contains saddle racks and hooks for your equipment. There is also floor space for grooming supplies and other smaller items.
The interior of the SafeTack Reverse LQ trailer is built to be “horse-friendly.” It is painted white to reflect heat and has overhead roof vents, large windows, and tubular head dividers for maximum flow of air and light. Even the skin of the trailer uses a rivet-free 3-M chemical bonding system to cut down on the squeaks and rattles associated with highway travel.
The Z-Frame dividers are stronger and more durable than typical steel or aluminum dividers. They are spring-loaded and include a quiet slam feature so you can maneuver easily within your trailer. The ramp is spring assisted for easy lifting, and the windows are built so that even the vertically challenged person can operate.
The roof of this trailer is made of a single piece fiber-composite SafeBump material. The roofs on most other top trailer brands are single layer mil-finished designs with a perimeter seam that can leak over time. Our SafeBump “no leak” roof will prevent water from seeping into your horse area or (even worse!) your living quarters where it can cause expensive damage.
The entire trailer is built to maintain a safer temperature on hot days. The insulated horse area, white interior, pine or Rumber floors, and SafeBump roof all work to protect your animals from extreme temperatures and dehydration. If you choose, you can add individual water troughs for your horses and an onboard water tank for easy transport.
This trailer is a great option if you own larger horse breeds that exceed 16.2H and 1,200 lbs in weight. Oftentimes, people make the false assumption that slant load horse trailers don’t work well for Warmbloods, draft horses, and other large breeds. We’re turning that idea on its head with our larger stall sizes and special modifications.
